Fruit: large, ovoid, symmetrical . A slightly shiny, greenish-yellow skin is coverd by an orangey-red, washed, striped blush. The flesh is greenish-creamy, not very juicy, medium-grained, not too sweet, tasty.

CLAPP’S LIEBLING
Characteristics: an old American dessert variety considered to be one of the most attractive early-season pear varieties. It is ideal for fresh eating and canning. It fruits regularly and abundantly.
Fruit: large to very large, wide-ovoid or bell-shaped, symmetrical . A thick, slightly shiny, greenish-yellow skin is coverd by a brownish-red blush. The flesh is yellowish-white, very juicy, soft, fine-grained, buttery melting, very sweet, extremely tasty.

ROTER CLAPP’S LIEBLING
Characteristics: a red bud sport of Clapp’s Favourite also known as Starkrimson, it is very similar to Clapp’s Favourite in shape and taste, however, it has a more intensive colour of the skin. It is one of the most attractive early-season pear varieties. It is ideal for small gardens. It fruits regularly and abundantly.
Fruit: medium to large, wide-ovoid or bell-shaped, symmetrical . A thick, slightly shiny, greenish-yellow skin is fully coverd by an intensive brownish-red blush with a purple dust. The flesh is yellowish-white, very juicy, soft, fine-grained, mellow, very sweet, extremely tasty.

WILLIAMS BON CHRETIEN
Characteristics: an English, early-season dessert variety which is quite resistant to scab. It is perfect for eating fresh and preserving. It starts to bear fruit early. It fruits abundantly and annually.
Fruit: medium-sized to large, irregular in shape. A greenish-yellow skin which turns to yellow with ripening is covered with a little russeting. The flesh is very aromatic, tasty, juicy and delicate.

BEURRE HARDY
Characteristics: an old French dessert variety which is quite resistant to scab. It starts to bear fruit quite late. It fruits moderately and has a bennial tendency.
Fruit: medium-sized to large, ovoid. A greenish-yellow skin is covered with a golden-brown russeting, which may turn to reddish-brown on the sunny side. The flesh is creamy-white, very juicy, vinous-sweet, spicy, buttery melting, delicate and very tasty.

Characteristics: an autumn Swedish variety which is one of the most frost-resistant pear varieties. It starts to bear fruit early. It fruits abundantly and annually.

CONFERENCE
Characteristics: one of the most popular varieties in Western Europe which comes from England. It starts to bear fruit very early. It fruits really abundantly and annually.
Fruit: large, elongated, spindle-shaped, conical, with a very slender neck. A green skin which turns to golden brow is covered with russeting.The flesh is yellowish-white, very sweet, juicy, delicate, slightly aromatic, with fine and soft texture.
